Ardmore 2009 16 Year Old The Zodiac Gemini is a limited Highland single malt bottled for The Whisky Exchange. Distilled in 2009 and matured for 16 years, this edition was drawn from an ex-Laphroaig barrel, bringing Ardmore’s naturally smoky character into a richer, coastal style.
The palate combines gentle peat smoke with toasted oak, citrus peel, vanilla, salted malt and warming spice. Its 50.4% ABV gives the whisky enough weight for a generous neat pour, while a few drops of water can soften the smoke and reveal sweeter fruit and cereal notes. The finish is dry, savoury and pleasantly smoky.
